Fanny's birthplace
editSomeone put Fanny in the list of natives of Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. If that is correct, then she was born in what was then Roxbury - now a part of Boston. At the time, Jamaica Plain was part of Boston. Jamaica Plain seceded as part of West Roxbury in 1851, and was annexed to Boston in the 1870s. Bottom line - Roxbury could be called a suburb of Boston at the time, but Jamaica Plain is part of Boston now. MarkinBoston 15:03, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
