Per a search in this copyright renewal file, there are no issues with copyright renewed before 1950, nor any cover art renewed, though many stories are copyrighted. Per a search here, there are no issues after that date copyrighted either, though again many stories are copyrighted. So all the artwork and covers (and most stories) are out of copyright.
