This article is only about disk drives. A "fast loader" for tape drives works quite differently AFAIK, so this page should probably be renamed to something with "disk" or "floppy", and not be redirected from (e.g.) "Turbo tape". --212.112.179.179 (talk) 09:32, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

The screenshot is actually an example of a decruncher, not a fast loader. The border color is being cycled to prove that the machine has not crashed while the program is being unpacked to memory. Unpacking the program after loading is often faster than loading the unpacked program, especially without a fast loader. 74.211.58.183 (talk) 19:24, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
