Plankstek
editThe current article claims that the Swedish term plankstek literally translates to "plank-steak". I would argue that a more correct literal translation would be "plank roast". The words "stek" and "steak" are commonly confused; see also the Swedish Wikipedia's List of false cognates between Swedish and English. BambooleanLogic (talk) 13:12, 18 February 2023 (UTC)
- I think that "plank steak" is close enough for representing the Scandinavian variant of the dish, considering the Danish name "plankebøf", and the fact that "stek" is often used for roasted beef dishes anyway. - Anonimski (talk) 15:57, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- Also, it might be a better option to split this article into two, if someone wants to write enough material about both topics. Anonimski (talk) 15:59, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
