Spelling in the original?
editThe name looks like Arabic (probably via Urdu).
How is it spelled in Arabic and/or Devanagari? -- pne (talk) 20:33, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Not the Cecrops?
editAccording to Dr. Dennison Moore, the Fatel Razack that brought the Indians to Trinidad was not the Cecrops built in 1845 and eventually owned by Ibrahim ben Youssef.
The Cecrops was built in Aabenraa (not "Aprenade") for the Danish merchant Jorgen Bruun and operated by Danish crews between Denmark and the Arabian Sea from 1845 to 1861. After it lost its rigging in a storm, it was sold to Ibrahim ben Youssef, and only then, in 1863, did it get registered as the Futtel Razac.
The Trinidad ship, by contrast, was owned by a Kolkata merchant named Abdool Rozack Dugman and turns up in official listings and signal codes as the Fatel Rozack in 1852, 1854, and 1857. The name of the ship was never given as Fath al Razaq or the like.Hieronymus Illinensis (talk) 05:01, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
