I don't think the Sealink Incident was the reason Dougal was exiled. Someone seems to have assumed that it was the same thing as the Blackrock Incident, but if Ted was with him at the time of the Sealink Incident, then it must just be one of Dougal's many misadventures after being sent to Craggy Island. - 88.111.92.29 (talk) 08:16, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

The Optimistic One (talk) 06:11, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose. Per the same rationale offered on the equivalent discussion on the Father Ted Crilly article. Namely that, in the closing credits (23m18s) and elsewhere, each of the priestly characters are listed by their full title. "Father Ted Crilly", "Father Dougal McGuire", etc. The existing title is therefore a common and accurate representation of the character's name. The proposer offers no evidence that the proposed title represents the common name. Guliolopez (talk) 12:26, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose. Use of abbreviations like this is rarely a good idea. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:05, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
