Hope this is where it is supposed to go.... Watch the video within a South African context. They aren't racist - anybody who thinks they are, are probably the real racists here. The Lady Gaga bit in the vid is crap - those dumb comedians probably handled that part. (SA comedy sucks in general - especially Leon Schuster, but we can't have it all) 'Blackface' is something to laugh about (even though it is SAD) - to think people were so crazy that they wrote roles in films for people not of Caucasian descent, but had Caucasians play the roles, & the actors/actresses (probably Caucasian racists themselves) must have been really upset for getting the role of 'the black'. Probably cried in their pillow but took the role in any case, just in case somebody saw them shine - despite being covered in shoe polish or paint or whatever they used + it adds to their CV. Die Antwoord don't exclude anybody or anything - they're like punks doing hip hop - trying to get those sparkly jeweled foul mouthed sex obsessed dummies to strip off & get GOOD CONTENT like ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, etc. - hip hoppers who had messages - not the same crap to sell watches & cars & headphones. The hip hoppers whose heads are on the monster (the cluster fuck monster) are being critisised for being pop commercial garbage that will go from No.1 on the charts straight to the bargain bin at your music stores all over the world. Check Niki Minaj's sudden Euro techno crap instead of rap since she worked with Madonna (killer of collaborator's careers) & that other twink. Whoever wrote this article should read more & perhaps come live in SA for a year or 2. Yolandi wears a sexy Chappies bubblegum dress & I love her trance dance spinning. They aren't perfect (who is?), but at least they are doing something different & real. Political correctness can be taken to an extreme where it becomes too much & probably has the opposite result of what being PC is supposed to do. (Fake acceptance/tolerance?) In SA we're proud of what & who we are - all of us - die lekker groot mengelmoes. We don't deny that we have skin colours or language or culture. Chill, have a good laugh at your own expense - it may cost a bit, but will probably be refunded X plenty. Are you going to burn Patti Smith records & ban her & crucify her, because she wrote & sung a song called "Rock 'n' Roll Nigger" - or are you going to listen to the song & do research if you just don't get it??? That's my bit - fuck it - I won't say no more the world is overpopulated with dumb shits in any case - so why bother wasting your breath on people who can't understand, who can just bop their heads & grind & think they can buy happiness & a good life like in those commercials & glamorous music videos & movies.
