Title
editShouldn't this be called Faust and Marguerite? In any case we don't use titles like Mephistopheles, or Faust and Marguerite here. --Kleinzach 04:04, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
- not when the composer gave it the title of 'Mephistopheles, or Faust and Marguerite'. I am sure that Mr Lutz would have been horrified to know that he gave his opera a title that did not fit Wikipedia convention. Perhaps we should also request that Ken Anakin changes the name of his film 'Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines or How I Flew from London to Paris in 25 Hours 11 Minutes' too.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.92.168.164 (talk) 14:38, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- Kleinzach, just which online sources for the title are you preferring over Sadie, Stanley; Tyrrell, John, eds. (2001). The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians (2nd ed.). London: Macmillan Publishers. ISBN 978-1-56159-239-5.

- Faust and Marguerite → Faust and Marguerite (opera)
- Faust and Marguerite (disambiguation) → Faust and Marguerite
– The five brief sentences comprising this stub confirm that the minor opera in question does not fit into the mold of a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 05:12, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
- Support Pageviews and Google results indicate there is not a primary topic among the notable works of the same name.--Yaksar (let's chat) 07:03, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
- Support, no claim for primary topic. It's not the original work either since they are all based on Faust. —Xezbeth (talk) 08:06, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
