editAnyone know the name of the actress who played the red-haired with ponytails girl in the beginning of this episode?
Thanks in advance!

Fair use rationale for Image:Fearful Symmetry 2x18.jpg
editImage:Fearful Symmetry 2x18.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Issues:
- Infobox: Add "running time" to the infobox
- Lede: Link American to Television in the United States
- Plot: Seems like to many paragraphs
- Production: Add "writers" and "directors"
- Reception: Fox Broadcasting Company → Fox network. Only Fox needed to be linked
That's all. Great work. TBrandley 20:47, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
- I believe I've addressed everything. Thank you for the review!--Gen. Quon (Talk) 02:20, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
- No problem. I'll pass the article now. TBrandley 03:18, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
Unconnected to mythology?
editIs this episode really "unconnected to the series' wider mythology", given that it features aliens experimenting with abduction and breeding, and it doesn't fully explain what happened, but leaves it an open question for a possibly future episode to answer? Would it be more accurate to write that it is "not closely connected" or "largely unconnected"? Lee Choquette (talk) 14:12, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Misclassified as "Monster-of-the-Week" story?
editI contend that this episode is incorrectly classified as a "Monster-of-the-Week" story. It is clearly a Mythology story.
For one, there is no monster. The source of the supernatural phenomena is never determined.
By the end of the episode, the characters' only working hypothesis fits into the series' alien abduction mythology: Animals are abducted and made pregnant. The offspring are gestated impossibly rapidly, and then harvested. The animals are returned to earth in an unexplained location, and left practically sterile.
This is a rough description of what was depicted as happening to Scully in earlier Season 2 mythology episodes Ascension and One Breath. And if we look ahead to the Season 5 episodes, Christmas Carol and Emily, then it is a precise description of what happened to her. --Geronimus Prime (talk) 14:40, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Geronimus Prime: In order to determine what episodes are or are not mythos eps, we need a reliable source. For that, we've been using The X-Files mythology collections (e.g.). So while I don't htink you're wrong, changing this from MOTW to mythos would probably violate WP:OR. @Grapple X: Do you have any other thoughts?--Gen. Quon (Talk) 15:07, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Gen. Quon: Admittedly, no. My contention was an appeal to deductive reasoning, rather than to authoritative sources. (I guess that's why I kept it on the Talk page.) Thank you for helping me to understand why the episode is classified as it is.--Geronimus Prime (talk) 15:52, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Geronimus Prime: No problem. I'll admit that I do agree with you, but this is an area where Wikipedia's epistemology really gets in the way. We have to go by what the sources say.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 17:49, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
