Federal government of the United States → United States Government – As mentioned in the discussion above, it might be worth considering this title because it is unambiguous. Interstellarity (talk) 12:20, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose as per the above discussion. United States Government is very broad and doesn't neccesarily refer to the federal level. Esolo5002 (talk) 14:00, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. The proposed move would lead to a meaningful decrease in WP:PRECISION, as readers could plausibly assume that an article titled "United States government" is a WP:BROADCONCEPT article about all levels of government in the US. ModernDayTrilobite (talk • contribs) 19:41, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Also, as a corollary: if consensus does emerge for this move, the capitalization should be "United States government", per WP:LOWERCASE. ModernDayTrilobite (talk • contribs) 19:41, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose for the same reasons I gave above. Not sure why this RM was opened, as it runs into basically the same objections, only more so. Walrasiad (talk) 22:08, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Strong oppose & almost certain snow/procedural close - per the above discussion which was only closed one day before this one was opened. estar8806 (talk) ★ 03:06, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
- Support per COMMONNAME and PRECISE. I’m stunned by the opposition here. Can any of you, especially Esolo5002 or ModernDayTrilobite, find even one example of any reliable source using “United States Government“ to mean anything other than the federal government of the US? I can’t. Please see the scope of USA.gov, the official website of the United States Government, especially the About the U.S. and its government page—note that it is entirely and exclusively about the federal government of the US. Finally, the ngrams show that the usage in books of “United States government” has been significantly higher than “federal government of the United States” since 1900. —В²C ☎ 11:51, 25 May 2023 (UTC)

editIs capitalism dead? 2600:1700:3FE3:E260:BC2B:DAC5:7CFB:72B5 (talk) 20:20, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- As long as the pro-capitalist Democratic Party exists that would be unlikely. The party supports a mixed capitalist economy. Dimadick (talk) 08:06, 3 December 2023 (UTC)
