editThis article state that "Australia is the fifth oldest federation in the world after the United States (1789), Switzerland (1848), Canada (1867) and the German Empire (1871)". However, Mexico was officially declared as a Federation in the 1824 Constitution. Also Brazil is a Federation since 1891 Constitution, before Australian federalism.
