Can someone convert the pronunciation from whatever that’s supposed to be to IPA? I would if I knew how to read whatever that is. —151.132.206.26 (talk) 15:07, 31 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

I can't do IPA, but reference 2 does give a pronunciation guide: "pronounced approximately as funóthereeo between the vowel in odd and add". Maybe you can turn that into IPA? Huon (talk) 17:07, 31 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Huon: /fənˈɑðəri/? fun-AH-the-ree? —67.14.236.193 (talk) 08:54, 28 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
As I said, I can't do IPA. If the IPA corresponds to "fun-AH-the-ree", that sounds about right to me. I don't speak Manx, though. Huon (talk) 09:23, 29 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
67.14.236.193 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) shouldn't be replacing his pure guesswork IPA, nor should he have deleted Rhys's phonology transcription.
I restored Rhys's phonetization, and based on Rogers's paper I found, I converted it to IPA which came out entirely different from this IP user's guesswork.
Still, this is just my attempte, so I tagged it with "IPA {{verification needed}}"--Kiyoweap (talk) 01:15, 2 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

I've now added IPA: [fənáˈðəri] which is sourced to Moore, Morrison & Goodwin (1924) Vocabulary, p. 61[1]. --Kiyoweap (talk) 08:34, 17 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
