editSo, do I understand this correctly?: A given arbitrary shape will have a different "Feret diameter" depending entirely on the given coordinate system? If this is correct it should be made clearer in the article. Also the benefit of this method should be discussed. For example I would expect massive differences in grain size measurements for anisotropic materials, with results higly dependant on details during sample preparation. I would not expect the least repeatability of measurements, unless a much more detailed process than currently described in the article is specified. --BjKa (talk) 09:53, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
