Scrubbers and Tanks

edit

Scrubbers and Tanks have been covered elsewhere in great detail. Yet the vessel portion of the scrubber requires a bit of detail. The vessel has to be design to withstand the loads of the various scrubbers, and FRP can help - or hinder - with it's anisotropic nature. Therefore it is reasonable to include some mention of the structural requirements of the vessel for all of the scrubber types. Biological scrubbers, for example require multiple support systems, as the bacteria tend to accumulate at the bottom of the media. This is different then a chemical scrubber, where a single, large support system will handle all of the media. And this is different then a dry media scrubber, where the condensation removal (and multiple stages) create an entirely different kind of vessel.

Also, the tank loads are different then steel tanks, due to the anisotropic nature of the vessel. It would almost be better to rename this page "anisotropic tanks and vessels", to differentiate between steel. However, that would make things difficult.

My point being in all of this that I probably put too much information for the scrubber section - it's covered in other sections. What I need to do is remove the information that belongs in the scrubber section and retag these sections with "see scrubbers" for standards.--Markozeta (talk) 20:53, 17 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV

edit

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 00:20, 30 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
