editElevated levels of fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF-23)play a role in the development of atherosclerotic plaque. I do not think that FGF-23 is of "low importance" in the field of molecular biology. FGF-23 also appears to be the long sought-after "phosphatonin" that regulates serum phosphate levels. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amichaelmartin (talk • contribs) 16:43, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
Further reading section is completely overblown
editI see no rhyme and reason in amassing so many articles under "further reading".
Most are primary resources, many subscription only and none are review articles. I am inclined to delete them . Wuerzele (talk) 20:13, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
