Reorganization?

Should probably be reorganized to have the heading be what work of fiction it is in rather than by the name of the fictional organization. RJFJR 13:54, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

Renaming?

  • I've renamed it to "Fictional resistance movements and groups". "Resistance movements" is not a proper noun so there is no need to capitalize it. Yes, the "groups" could probably be dropped too, unless we make a clear distinction in the article between movements and groups.

Need expansion

• Need non SF examples. How about an alternate history example? What other fictional resistance organizations are there?

Want a example ? Try the show Sliders. One episode had the main characters enter a "Earth" in which the Communists have taken over and the people living in the conquered US form a sort of resistance movement to throw out the communist overlords.Martial Law 07:24, 28 October 2005 (UTC)

In other Slider shows, the main characters either cooperate with native "Earth" resistance movements, or form them to dislodge native tyrants, aliens, mainly the Kromaggs from the Earths that they have invaded. Unnamed Movements

There are plenty of resistance movements in prominent media which have no names, so I wouldn't know how to document them (i.e. the resistance movement in Half-Life 2. How would you suggest that they be listed? Kazhivlad 07:51, 24 December 2005 (UTC)

Feature Article ?

How can this be nominated to be a feature article ? Martial Law 05:46, 8 April 2006 (UTC) :)

Looking over the actual article I seem some points that will might get raised in the WP:FAC.

1. Things should be well cited, using proper templates and styles.
2. Illustrations are desirable.
3. The article should be more comprehensive. Except for the brief mention of 1984 it's all movie or TV sci-fi. Maybe it'd be better to simply rename it, "Fesistance movements and groups in science fiction".
4. "Some well known foo" is a poor section title. The (boring) norm is "Notable foo", or simply "Foo".
5. There should be categories.

The article probably should be renamed to List of fictional resistance movements to go along with the resistance movement article. The article is very detailed and also has many links to other wikipedia pages which makes this such a strong article. You also have some citations of good sources. One thing i would change about the article is to add more information. You have many external links which gives background information about the topics or people you bring up, but it seems as if your article relies on the information to the linked articles for a lot of the information needed for a reader to understand the article. Another edit you could make to improve your article is to add more sections. For example that small paragraph about Robin Hood could be in its own section instead of just part of the one big section, this will keep your article more organized.
