Latex vs. Sap
editJust to clarify (for myself, as well as readers) latex is NOT sap, am I right? Latex is carried in laticifers that run through the entire plant (probably some sort of repair/pest deterrence), but are not responsible for the movement of water and solutes through vascular tissue. If this is so please respond, I don't want to change this until I'm perfectly clear, as the purpose of latex is not fully understood.
