Demoted Field-Marshals

edit

Why not include demoted Field-Marshals? Kmorozov 14:43, 25 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Indeed. If they ever held the rank of Field Marshal then they should be included. However, they should only be included if there are full details for them, not just a surname. -- Necrothesp 14:44, 25 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
I supplied a guiding link at the bottom of the page. --Ghirla | talk 15:02, 25 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
If existence of resource somewhere in internet is a reason for not include demoted Field-Marshals then it is a reason for not include any of them. Kmorozov 06:07, 26 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
It's OK to name them when you have something more than just a surname. Also, I believe that redlinking is not very helpful. Let's start the article first and then provide links to it from other articles. Lists full of redlinks look slovenly to me. --Ghirla | talk 11:15, 26 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
Both of them has biographies, e.g. by Bantysh-Kamensky at [1] Kmorozov 11:28, 26 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
I have to say that whether you like red links or not is not very relevant, since many wikipedians are perfectly happy with them. -- Necrothesp 12:50, 26 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

List of Russian Field Marshals → General Field Marshal – This list will be incoprorated into a full article, as in Marshal of the Soviet Union. --DmitryKo 14:52, 26 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Complete list?

edit

The book Za víru, vládce a vlast (by czech military historian Jiří Fidler) states, that there were 72 general field marshals, not 64 (as it is in this article). Can I complete it, or not? --Silesianus (talk) 11:32, 13 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
