Merge recommended
editI recommend that Textile finishing be merge into this article. They are about the same subject. - PKM (talk) 16:24, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
- Agree I think the more substantial content exists in the other article, but this is a better name, using the essential name as the primary title and the field qualifier in parentheses. Of course, the other will be redirected here once the merge is complete. –Paul M. Nguyen (chat|blame) 19:24, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
- Merge complete I now welcome any assistance at making something sane out of the article. –Paul M. Nguyen (chat|blame) 02:51, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
- Ha, that's a challenge. I'll put this on my mental queue and see what I can do. Thanks for merging. - PKM (talk) 02:47, 22 September 2010 (UTC)

We have been ducking this issue for some time now- So I am proposing to make a broadside attack on the article over the next week or too. Hopefully when I have finished at least I will have some idea about the topic! Feel free to correct all the errors that will occur. --ClemRutter (talk) 14:29, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
Kindly advise for definition part of the article
editHi! The definition part of this article is missing the stages of fiber and yarn finishing. May I suggest the following:
Textile finishing is a broad range of physical and chemical processes/treatments that complete one stage of textile manufacturing and may be preparing for the next step. And makes the product more receptive to the next phases/steps of manufacturing. It also adds value to the product and makes it more useful and functional for the end-user. Textile finishing is the sequence of operations other than scouring, bleaching, dyeing, and printing, which contributes to every step of textile manufacturing, such as fiber, yarn, fabric, and garment making also. - Please could you explain what your question has to do with the merge reccommendation. Thanks. -Roxy the inedible dog . wooF 10:43, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
- I should have been made a separate section that I did not; it is not related to the merge. Thanks for correcting me. Happy teacher's day! RAJIVVASUDEV (talk) 11:12, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
