World War I
edit...ran hospitals and casualty clearing stations for the Belgian and French armies. ...Nursing Adventures in France for America
This is kind of confusing and seems to me to be worth clarifying or explaining.
I'd be interested in learning how many FANY (PRVC) women earned all those medals out of how many who served in France and, if possible, what decorations were awarded to Nurses McDougall and Franklin.

Wouldn't the word "executed" be more appropriate than "murdered" in the following sentence?
Thirty-nine of the 50 women sent into France by SOE were FANYs of whom 13 were captured and murdered by the Gestapo.

- Not really, since war crimes are still crimes. 31.127.242.188 (talk) 20:48, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
M25
editIt might be helpful to those unfamiliar with the layout of Greater London, in which class I include myself, if “the M25” were expanded to something along the lines of,. “...the M25 orbital motorway surrounding Greater London.”

Name
editWas the acronym "FANY" intended as a bit of a joke, and was it accepted as such by the women who served in said unit?Paulturtle (talk) 01:15, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
