editHello, Whlee. I was wondering if you wrote, or have permission to use, the content in the First Koryo - Khitan article because it is similar to an article on the Korean History Project website. Thanks -- Kjkolb 05:28, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
I understand what you are talking about, i recongnize the fact that the article is poorly written but i'm very busy these last few days. I will personalize it the following days when i got much more available extra-time. Regards. Whlee 10:24, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
Question on Number
editI think we should REALLY question the numbers of 800k Khitan troops. Wasn't the total population of Liao only 3 million? WangKon936 1:40, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Diplomatic Ties?
editWhat exactly does "diplomatic relations" mean? Did Goryeo become tributary to Liao? Or does this just mean international trade or what? Can this article be clearer and less vague?
Attribution history
editFrom its creation, this article was a copyright infringement of this source (archived version here). It has had to be deleted accordingly. However, an introductory paragraph was added by other editors which may merit retention. Other contributors added formatting or minor changes, but none substantial enough for GFDL attribution concerns. Attribution for substantial contribution to the opening paragraph, which I have restored here, is as follows. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:37, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
- The first sentence was added 15:20, 22 December 2005 User:Chris the speller. "The First Koryo-Khitan War was a 10th-century conflict between the kingdom of Koryo and Khitan forces near what is now the border between China and North Korea."
- The second sentence was added 16:46, 5 January 2006 User:Appleby. "The Goryeo-Khitan Wars continued with the second and third campaigns until 1019."
- The second sentence was modified on 2 July 2008 by User:Dark and stormy knight. "It occurred in 993 and was the first of the Goryeo-Khitan Wars, which were continued with the Second Goryeo-Khitan War (1010) and Third Goryeo-Khitan War (1018)."
