Primary topic

edit

I don't think an anatomical fissure should be the primary topic. When most people hear the word fissure they probably think of an Ground fissure or Ice fissure. 19:29, 14 September 2021 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coastside (talkcontribs)

@DanHobley: You revised the page such that there is no longer a primary topic. I agree with this approach. I'll let this discussion go for a bit to see if there are alternate opinions. After that, the next step is to change the naming of the pages: Fissure -> Fissure (anatomy), Fissure (disambiguation) -> Fissure, and then new page Fissure (disambiguation) that redirects to Fissure.Coastside (talk) 18:11, 20 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Done Now to clean up the links to the disambiguation page...
Comment: This was clearly the right move (literally). There are about 100 links to the disambiguation page that now need to be fixed. Many of these have to do with geological topics and not anatomical topics, so they were incorrectly linked before the page move. Although it's a lot to correct now, at least when done these will point to the correct articles.Coastside (talk) 06:09, 21 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Well, it looked good for a bit. But then @John Cline: changed it by creating a whole new primary topic at Fissure (which is redundant with the Ground fissure article), made that the primary topic on this disambiguation page, and moved the disambiguation page back to Fissure (disambiguation). I requested that this be reverted. Please discuss at You made a new redundant article the primary topic. Please fix..Coastside (talk) 14:10, 21 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
