The Goddess Ceres is on the right side holding the Cornucopia. Why is this information illegal?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Ceres1251 (talkcontribs) 10:09, 9 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I have no idea... 68.39.174.238 00:19, 31 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Second time for me to edit this page. The Goddess Ceres is on this flag, it is an OBJECTIVE FACT. I used to live next to Jimbo in Huntsville, Alabama. If you edit this fact out I will have to contact him, and we will discuss it politely, for Jimbo to get you.

Okay? ;} I don't know who or what the girl on nearer the hoist is or holding exactly....please edit that fact first.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Ceres1251 (talkcontribs) 21:00, 15 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Not all female figures with cornucopias are Ceres. The City Code doesn't name the figures. (see http://www.phila.gov/philacode/html/_data/title21/chapter_21_100_city_emblems_co/21_101_The_City_Seal_.html) but an attorney for the City wrote an article about the seal naming the figures are "Peace" and "Prosperity." http://hiddencityphila.org/2013/11/behind-philadelphia-maneto-dissecting-the-city-seal/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.2.3.236 (talk) 20:07, 27 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Wrong blue

edit

The blue in the image of the flag is much too dark.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Chatsphilly (talkcontribs) 07:52, 24 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Flag of Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaFlag of Philadelphia – Standardization with Flag of Washington, D.C., Flag of Los Angeles, Flag of New York City, etc. In each of those cases, the name of the city matches the form in the city's own page. Since Philly is at Philadelphia rather than "Philadelphia, Pennsylvania," I don't see why we should hesitate to move the article (my intended target already exists as a redirect here). Yes, there are a few other places named Philadelphia, but you can say the same about LA. The Pennsylvanian city is a clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. BDD (talk) 18:59, 22 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
