Further Information on Flame Maple In Instruments?
editWhile there is basic information regarding flame maple in instruments, I believe it would improve the page to include information regarding how the wood is crafted and installed into an instrument. More specifically, mentioning the possibilities of staining and coloring flame maple, as well as applying a clear coat finish to protect and preserve the wood itself. This is something very frequently done, especially in mass-produced guitars, and guitar communities in particular are often very concerned about clear coating/nitro finishing and the effects on the wood especially tonality. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Al3xW97 (talk • contribs) 15:44, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
- Flamed maple is used in a lot of things but the article focuses on instrument making, was likely written by a guitar player and lacks all encyclopedic depth like which maple species are being used for that etc. it's a stub.2A01:598:9911:4631:ACD8:C3FF:32CF:7D7B (talk) 15:06, 22 January 2023 (UTC)
