Correct?
edit"An enhanced port was released in 2007 for the Xbox 360 and Windows as FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage. A PlayStation Portable port of Ultimate Carnage was released as FlatOut: Head On." Was the PSP port based on Ultimate Carnage or FlatOut 2? — Preceding unsigned comment added by HelpMeChoose55 (talk • contribs) 12:13, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
Anyone else seen this?
editI added this to a "Trivia" section in the article, but has anyone else seen what strongly appear to be the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City in the background of the "parking lot" location in the "Derby" mode?? This game was released 5 years after 9/11 so I cannot believe that the towers are in this. This is ludicrous! But am I just dreaming or can anyone else see them?. — `CRAZY`(lN)`SANE` [discl.] 00:37, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Could you post a picture of it? I can't seem to find them.
B****** :) Our senior graphics guy just checked the background texture. There's a similar skyscraper there, but no WTC towers. - Reko / Bugbear --212.226.152.22 07:55, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
He means this picture. This building looks similar, as if the Twin Towers were one building. This is a coincidence. http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w265/BMWM3E92/DerbyParkingLot.jpg (SnakeEyesNinja 17:04, 21 March 2007 (UTC))
Vehicle Lists added to article
editI have added list of vehicles, so we can identify it. Since those are the cars from FlatOut 2, I have to help Wikipedia expand it. Thank you. Professional Gamer 27 October 2006
I have thoroughly updated the trivia and car info and such. Everything in there is absolutely accurate. (SnakeEyesNinja) — Preceding undated comment added 23:27, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
2 Hidden Vehicles
editBoth the Mob Car and the Truck are hidden vehicles, and I don't know the cheat code, does anyone know? Professional Gamer 12:37, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
There is no hidden truck, there is the School Bus, 1940's Roadster(your mob car), The Flatmobile and The Rocket Car. (SnakeEyesNinja 07:40, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
There is a hidden truck, use GIEVEPIX to unlock all vehicles. 172.159.229.188 13:29, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
The only so called "hidden truck" is the Tractor Trailer Rig which isn't a truck per se. Trucks are a single vehicle, big rigs are two vehicles in one. I'm not sure if the Rig is in part 2, it's in Ultimate Carnage though and very easily unlockable. (SnakeEyesNinja (talk) 07:02, 1 September 2009 (UTC))
About the Trivia section
editAs it is, the trivia section seems a tad unfocused. I see that most of the details within it are to do with the vehicles in the game, and I wonder whether removing this section after creating a section detailing vehicles is created would be a good decision. The section could summarise the types of vehicles within the game (mentioning the three classes of Derby, Street and Race), perhaps list the different cars, and mention the bonus cars (then putting in the resemblance between the Flatmobile and the Batmobile). This would look more smart then the jumbled section on trivia we have now.
Also, for the above query: there is a truck in Flatout 2, a long-nose one. It's rubbish. ¬_¬ Wunderbear 10:29, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
Wrong link
editThe official Flatout 2 website is not http://www.flatoutgame.com/, which takes you to Flatout: Ultimate Carnage and Flatout: Head On, but it is http://flatout2.sierra.com/. Please fix this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.35.141.190 (talk) 13:07, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
New Updates
editThe Steam version of the game has been updated. The Canadian company Strategy First appears to have purchased the rights to the series, and that should be reflected 142.180.143.185 (talk) 08:11, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
