I would suggest that the sentence "The term “flight surgeon” originated in the early months of 1918 when the U.S. Air Medical Service of the U.S. Army collaborated with two civilian aviation organizations — the Aero Club of America and the Aerial League of America — to manage problems of medical screening and standards for U.S. military aviators.[2][3] " be reviewed and modified. As far as I am aware, the Aerial League of America did not exist in the "early months of 1918", so it could not have been involved in this process. I think it was formed in late 1919. However, I do not have any good references at hand for this at the present. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Medevac6 (talkcontribs) 09:14, 6 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speaking of flight surgeons, if you want to read what a real-life flight surgeon did, read the new release "Flight Surgeon: Diary of Medical Detachment, 1943-1944" by Ernest Gaillard, MD like I did and you'll see what it's really all about.
