Is flip-flop a name known only in some countries? Here in Europe, I've never heard of the name. If it's unknown outside, say, the USA, would be it better to give the article a more general name and write "called a flip-flop in some countries" in the main text? History
editThis Hub was invented by Joseph Rorke in 1896. He was a cyclist with the Gravenhurst Rangers in Gravenhurst, Ontario, Canada. I have a copy of the patent application but don't know how to insert this. James on a bike (talk) 20:10, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
- Well, to be recognized as the inventor, he would have to have been granted the patent or received some other form of independent recognition, such as a newspaper article. If you find a link to either of those, or can scan images of hard copies, that would be a start. -AndrewDressel (talk) 14:23, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
