Application of Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Style guide/Layout (Aircraft) and Aircraft specs template
editTo comply with Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Style guide/Layout (Aircraft) there should only be one set of specs. This has already caused one editor to wrongly revert a legitimate edit. So I am putting this up for discussion; the issue seems to be that the Dora and similar high altitude derivatives should also have specs. I contend that if they are that differtent then a breakaway / sub article should be written to cover them, which would allow the inclusion of a specifications section on the Dora (or whichever variant the author chooses) Discuss:--Petebutt (talk) 23:21, 10 October 2019 (UTC)
- I have taken the lack of response as assent and carried on. There is only one set of specs in the main article. Specs for D-9 added to the D-9 section in the variants off-shoot.--Petebutt (talk) 00:44, 13 October 2019 (UTC)
"Wurger"
editWhen was the name chosen and was it used? There is no current coverage in the article about the name origin. GraemeLeggett (talk) 11:47, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
LB&SCR D3
edit& we really aren’t going to mention how one was taken down by the safety valve of a tank locomotive it destroyed? That gallant ol’ kettle on rails wasn’t going quietly without a fight, so I think it at least deserves a sentence or two on this page NewfieRailFan (talk) 11:49, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
- Single event. I'd say no. Intothatdarkness 19:15, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
FW 190 V3 & V4
editWere the V3 and V4 even planned? I couldn't find any sources stating they existed even on paper let alone that they were abandoned? CormacGallagher (talk) 16:45, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- Both built but not flown, they were built before the switch to the BMW 801 engine and no BMW 139 engines were available. V3 was used as spare parts for V1/V2 and V4 was used as a static test airframe. From a reliable source not used in the article, I would add the details but can't deal with sfn templates.
