Laird Hamilton discovered the hydrofoils ability to capture moving ground swell energy (waves). The Hydrofoil Board was thus born and perfected into a water sport product by hydrofoilsurfing.com now known as foilboarding.com. With new technology the hydrofoil was crafted with carbon fiber composites. Lighter and more efficient than the previous model used by Laird Hamilton to discover stand up hydrofoiling, the future of riding waves endlessly exists.
For the more passive water sport enthusiast, stand up hydrofoiling, known as foilboarding is a great sensation of flying above the waters surface while being towed behind a boat, jet ski or other watercraft.
Foilboarding with use of a kite is a new method of flying above the waters surface without the use of machinery. The rider harnesses the winds power in a controllable manner riding the foilboard
