note
editCould it also be caused in puberty when new hairs are just sprouting and so are short and may curl back? Does it occur like a couple of days after exposure to HIV, or after a long time?
This is the same as the French article and should be linked to it in the "in other languages" section: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folliculite —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.41.86.78 (talk) 12:46, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Alternative Names
edit- Barber's itch,Pseudofolliculitis barbae and Tinea barbae alternative names of folliculitis.[1] Graceconcepcionr (talk) 06:40, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
Treatment
edit- Hot, moist compresses may promote drainage of the affected follicles. Treatment may include antibiotics applied to the skin (mupirocin) or taken by mouth (dicloxacillin), or antifungal medications to control the infection.[2] Graceconcepcionr (talk) 06:53, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
Merge Links
editUnder the Symptoms section, changing genital lesions to one link linking to "genital lesions"; instead of linking to "genital" and "lesions" separately, would increase the usefulness of the bulleted list. AddicusT (talk) 00:23, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
