Cardiff City
editThe article states - "As Cardiff City was long considered a potential entrant for the Second Division due to their FA Cup exploits and Southern League dominance, they were sent directly into the Second Division." Can someone explain the context? Cardiff City had only reached the Southern League First Division in 1913, and in the three seasons they spent there had finished 10th, 3rd and 4th - hardly "dominance". Likewise in the FA Cup, they never got past the First Round proper until 1919-20 when they went out in Round 3 - this hardly represents "FA Cup exploits". Presumably there must have been some political motive i.e. a desire to have a Welsh club in the Football League. --Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 05:23, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
