Would be a good idea to merge it

Yes, it should definetely be merged, especially since this article seems to be a little out of date... NuclearFunk 09:57, 12 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

I agree that a merger of the two articles would be pertinent. (User: Tantona) 12:52, 15 December 2005

I also think these articles should be merged Enkrates 09:05, 24 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

I dont think that it should be merged. It would be like merging the Playstation 3 page with the Playstation 2 or 1 page. Football Manager is different to Football Manager 2005 which is different to Football Manager 2006. They are different products thus deserve a seperate page. None of your 'merge' posts back up why they should be merged. (Kevyinus 02:15, 6 January 2006 (UTC))Reply

I don't think this logic is good enough for me to change my mind. Wikipedia is not paper, and can very well afford to have long and thorough articles. In fact, I think fewer but bigger articles are better than many short ones. Of course they are different, but that is why we have sections and different headlines. I don't see how both articles could not benefit from merging. NuclearFunk 17:03, 6 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

OBJECT: I'm of the belief that some discussion on FM06 should be done on the main FM article and linking here for further information on it would be the best idea. Right now, I think that the main FM article goes too much into detail about the specifics of FM06 (copyrights, league lists (perhaps only the current one should be there and all others relegated to their own articles?), etc).--Dan (Talk)|@ 01:38, 18 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

I should probably point out that, if this is done, then the Football Manager 2005 redirect to the main FM article should be removed and replaced with an article about FM2005 itself.--Dan (Talk)|@ 01:41, 18 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
I agree with Dan, FM 2005 and 2006 need to have their own articles. The general Fm article doesn't need to go into so much detail on each individual game. The Legend of Zelda series page is a good example to follow. --Ukdan999 16:40, 7 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Why is there no Japanese League?

Beacause of copyright issues (isn't everything these days). I don't think SI have the rights to include the J-League, but now that Sega own SI maybe it'll be in FM2007. --Ukdan999 00:21, 17 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I think that, now SI are owned by SEGA, they'll be able to licence many more leagues than before. Muahahahaha!--Dan (Talk)|@ 23:29, 17 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

banned

edit

why this game is on "banned games" category?

Because China banned Football Manager for making a distinction between China and its claimed territories of Tibet, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao. The Chinese didn't like the fact that you could play as these countries as the PROC refuses to acknowledge their existance as independent countries in their own right.
As it currently stands any majorly available games which makes China and it's provinces seperate entities is deemed to be against the best interests of the PROC, and thus it is banned.--Dan (Talk)|@ 18:26, 1 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Fm2006cover.jpg

edit

Image:Fm2006cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:33, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Best fm ever?

edit

I sincerely believe 06 is still the best fm ever, even after fm08, and many people share this opinion in several discussion boards, especially since no major significative features have been introduced since 06 and there's also the size of the db issue. So, should this be reflected in the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.37.64.229 (talk) 15:34, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

No, this is against Wikipedia policies of neutral point of view.  Grue  16:06, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Harchester Utd

edit

Can you play as Harchester Utd? I found you can play friendly games against them, but I can't find out if you can be them! Clyde1998 18:37, 1 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
