POV
editThe "Professional League" contains some POV material. It needs to be cleaned up. 69.137.220.179 19:30, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Match Fixing
editThis article doesn't mention match fixing enough to declare the fickleness of the fan base. Match fixing was a huge issue before the football reform that took place two or three years ago. It was covered by the Chinese newspaper here in US. It contributed significantly to the loss of the fan base. --Voidvector 05:23, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Football viewing in China
editWe could do with a section (or an article) on football-watching in China. As Premier League matches are broadcast in China (free), this is very big. Actually what I want is the Chinese names of the main teams so I can work out who 曼御 is. m.e. (talk) 07:33, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

Scandal
editShould there be a mention of the recent scandal where players literally just bribed their way onto the team? They've caught at least 100 players, coaches and officials. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.198.255.246 (talk) 16:37, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

Codes of football
editIt seems very broad for this article to cover multiple different codes of football. I can't find another country where the "football in..." article covers both association and American football. The intro also mentions paper football, which as far as I can tell has no notable presence in the country. Is there a good reason for this all to be lumped in one article? MarchOfTheGreyhounds (talk) 15:54, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
- I note these changes were made by a banned sock. I've removed references to these other codes. MarchOfTheGreyhounds 09:54, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
