edit1 Origins. Well explained but out of the section, Catalonia league here.
2 popularity: Federated players, audiences, average attendances, etc.
3 Competitions: Subsections, Liga(all divisions), Copa del Rey, Recopa. They are the 3 official titles awarded every year. Sumer trophies.
4 National Team: History, major competitions. Historical quarter-finals failure, etc.
5 National team´s latest victories, social impact.
6 Short list of major historical Spanish players: Zarra, Zamora, Gento, Zubizarreta, Raul, etc...
7 Popular culture. Books, movies, Trading cards, media.
