Identity Lifecycle Manager → Forefront Identity Manager — The ILM product is known known as FIM, so this page should be renamed to Forefront Identity Manager. I don't believe they require separate articles, as the functionality and purpose is approximately the same, just evolved. FIM was known as "ILM 2" during development, but was renamed to fit in with the Forefront suite. Gerardtalk 02:34, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

MIM the successor to FIM
editIt would be handy if the Infobox template for software (Template:Infobox_software) included a succeeded_by parameter just like the Template:Infobox_OS does. Then we could indicate in a tidy manner that Microsoft replaced the FIM product line with the "Identity Manager" product line. {{Infobox software ... | succeeded_by = Identity Manager 2016[1] ...
