Talk:Foreign Emoluments Clause

Rename article

edit

This article should be renamed "Foreign Emoluments Clause" as that name would better fit its common description since President Trump took office. Nobody is currently concerned about titles of nobility, since 2017, if not earlier, the clause has usually been referred to as the "Emoluments Clause." Since there are two clauses in the Constitution referring to emoluments, it would be better to indicate that this clause is about foreign emoluments. SMP0328. (talk) 01:50, 18 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Since nobody has commented on what I said, I've decided to be bold and change the article's name to "Foreign Emoluments Clause". SMP0328. (talk) 17:40, 20 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Obama and the Nobel Peace Prize

edit

When Barack Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize, there being a debate about the constitutionality of it. See, for example, Deseret News. The Office of Legal Counsel issued a response. Does this merit mention in the article? Gabbe (talk) 07:08, 13 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
