all of Rose Island
editRIGIS maps show all of Rose Island to be the same as the historic district. --Polaron | Talk 14:47, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe it would be better to create a separate Fort Hamilton article and move the historic district info there? The fort and the island instinctively seem to warrant separate articles, obviously an island is not a man made village or town. The broader geography and history of the island doesn't have a whole lot to do with Fort Hamilton, a U.S. military installation existing for a limited time period. - I agree that it is preferable that there be a separate articles for the historic district and the island. Each article can concentrate on different things (one for architectural and social history and the other for geology and biodiversity). However, it should probably be mentioned in this article that the historic district covers the entire island. --Polaron | Talk 17:32, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
