Northern Kachin Levies
editPlease stop removing information from these pages. Just because you don't personally know something doesn't mean it should be removed. The British Kachin forces in Northern Burma were known at the time as the Northern Kachin Levies. That was their official unit name. Please do not change information you don't understand and don't have the sources to personally understand.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.12.117.10 (talk • contribs) 00:28, 31 December 2005

Naming of Fort Hertz
editRegarding the statement "The military post was established in 1914 and given the name Fort Hertz in 1925 on the retirement of William Hertz..." my grandfather's accompanying map dated 1921 (although mapped out in 1914) labels it as Fort Hertz, and he was calling it that from his earliest references to it. Was it already unofficially called that, and then the name was made official in 1925?
