Discussion of "large language model"
editIt seems to me this article should at least mention that the more established term of art is simply "large language model" and the term "foundation model" was proposed as an alternative. Thoughts? Kylebgorman (talk) Kylebgorman (talk) 15:51, 19 December 2022 (UTC)
- Good question - large language models are a type of foundation models. Foundation models don't have to be about language. Ananyak94 (talk) 02:11, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
- I think it's still good to mention the term "large language model", since it is one of the most prominent classes of "foundation models", and perhaps explicitly state the difference. Ananyak94 (talk) 02:12, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
