RFC on Continental Association and Articles of Confederation

{{rfc|hist|pol}} Should the signers of the Continental Association or the Articles of Confederation be listed in this article and in their biographies as Founding Fathers of the United States because of their action in signing the Continental Association or the Articles of Confederation?

This question only affects those individuals who signed the Continental Association or the Articles of Confederation and did not sign either the American Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States. Individuals who signed either of the latter two documents will continue to be listed as Founding Fathers.

There are two parts to this RFC, one having to do with the Continental Association and one having to with the Articles of Confederation. Please answer the Survey for each question with A, B, or C, and a brief statement. Please do not respond to other posts in the Survey; that is what the Discussion is for.

Continental Association

How should individuals who signed the Continental Association but not the American Declaration of Independence or the United States Constitution be listed in Wikipedia?

Articles of Confederation

How should individuals who signed the Articles of Confederation but not the American Declaration of Independence or the United States Constitution be listed in Wikipedia?

• A. Described in this article and in their biographies as Founding Fathers of the United States.
• B. Described in this article and in their biographies as said by some sources to be Founding Fathers of the United States.
• C. Not described as Founding Fathers.
