plot

edit

For the plot, I have copied a part of the article "how to stop an exploding man", only changing the beginning. When there are more known facts about this episode just change it. Remember to add a spoiler warning.--DtH-Campino 00:13, 18 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

We don't use spoiler warnings any more, but we certainly shouldn't be posting pre-release information in any case if it isn't verifiable. The latest version of the plot summary was a copyright infringement and contained unveriable information , so I removed it. I'll hunt out your old version and restore it if it's suitable. --Tony Sidaway 18:06, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
I really don't get how this is copyrite infredgement I just took the description from the episode list what is the difference? --Tylergamer812 19:50, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Something about the Molly/Matt Parkman subplot should go into the article too. I honestly can't remember most of it, there was so much going on. --Bladestarr 02:48, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
I added the Parkman/Molly subplot, but it may be a bit long. Feel free to trim it down. -- HiEv 03:21, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
I added a bit more to the plot summary of the page. If anyone wishes to edit it/add more, feel free to do so. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.119.151.107 (talk) 03:45, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
it seemed to me that nathan petrelli saw a badly burned reflection of PETER in the mirror, not himself. anybody have confirmation that it was indeed nathan? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.225.31.89 (talk) 00:42, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Greg Beeman, the episode's director, says it was Nathan himself: "Nathan, who was so in control and determined as a political candidate last year, has seemingly lost it all and has no goals. He drinks alone in a bar and is haunted by a disfigured version of himself. Who is this vision and what is the symbolism behind his horrible disfigurement?"[1] -- Terry Carroll 00:53, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
good to know! thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.225.31.89 (talk) 01:16, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
When Parkman passes the test to become a detective he is asked how he knew that the woman was the kidnapper. He mentions about eyes etc but the man he is talking to mentions that most notice the gun holster. In the first series i seem to remember, when mohinder returns to his fathers apartment he finds a man there pretending to spraying for bugs. When he chases the man out of the apartment, the man runs into eden.

The man claims that he was attacked by mohinder and that he was sparying the apartment. Eden then says something about the why does the man have a gun holster. Is this correct or did I just dream it?Dionysus e 07:09, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Good grief, people, we're getting overboard. We're discussing the plot, not anyone else. Pokemon Buffy Titan (talk) 02:25, 25 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notes

edit

Reference to "miles"

edit

Deleted the following from notes: 'After Maya and Alejandro manage to escape the police, she says that they've been "running for eight hundred miles." Not being from the United States, they wouldn't have used miles as a measurement, but kilometers.'

The USA is far from the only country in the world that uses miles as a measurement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.75.15.182 (talk) 14:29, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
As seen, on the Colbert Report tonight (25.09.07) the only four countries to officially use the Imperial Measurements are the US, Liberia, Myanmar, and Alaska. 87.234.85.64 21:11, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Besides, they were speaking Spanish and it was translated for English Audiences. Therefore, we can assume the translation also translated the distance (Ytoabn's Blog: http://ytoabn.blogspot.com/ 18:16, 26 September 2007 (UTC))Reply
No, Maya did say eight hundred miles in Spanish. 67.167.123.64 01:11, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Urm, the UK uses imperial measures for distance and when I studied spanish we were taught imperial measures, not metric. Just because it's not official doesn't mean they won't use it personally. Jacobshaven3 13:38, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
No, it doesnt mean that. But they dont use it. Nobody in Latinamerica uses miles... well perhaps in northern Mexico. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Canislupusarctos (talkcontribs) 12:46, 5 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Darwin quote

edit

I'm deleting the passage about the Darwin quote, i.e., "...the teacher asks the class who created the phrase 'survival of the fittest'". It's true that Spencer, not Darwin came up with that phrase, but that's not the question that was asked. The teacher asked who said the quote "In the struggle for survival, it is the fittest who win out at the expense of their rivals." Numerous web sites (including Wikiquote) attribute this to Darwin. I'm not sure they're correct; it's not anywhere in The Origin of Species that I can find, for example, although it's often attributed to that text. But it doesn't seem to be Spencer's either. Unless someone can come up with a plausible alternate origin for this quote, it should not be noted as an error. -- Terry Carroll 11:47, 27 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Nathan's reflection

edit

When I was watching Heroes, I thought it was a disfigured Peter that was looking back at him. It can also mean that from the explosion that "killed" Peter, some power transfered from Peter to Nathan. Does anyone else think this? NasDestiny 05:47, 27 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

There has been some debate on this point in the last few days (see the revision history). I watched it and thought it was Nathan in the mirror, not Peter, but several people have thought the opposite. I looked at the scene in freeze-frame and I still believe it's Nathan, by the facial structure. There is also the director's blog entry indicating that it's Nathan in the reflection. My thought was that Nathan was disfigured and/or burned by Peter when the latter "exploded" in the Season 1 finale ... but I don't know how he appears normal now, perhaps as a result of some acquired or transferred power, or cosmetic surgery. Littlebluedog 16:04, 27 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Nathan is playing a double game. Nathan slipped his mother the picture with the red helix. My theory is that he was scarred after the explosion, but the company healed him (or at least masked his injuries) in return for his service. technogiddo --84.108.115.142 19:58, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
No. I think "Maury Parkman". Remember the episode where Maury gives Matt and Nathan their nightmare worlds? There was a scarred Nathan-illusion battling the real deal. Pokemon Buffy Titan (talk) 11:13, 22 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Mohinder job in the company

edit

Wasn't Mohinder offered a job with The Company previously in the first season? Why did he need to 'entice' them to hire him?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.23.48.126 (talk) 02:00, 27 September 2007 (UTC) Wasn't Mohinder offered a job with The Company previously in the first season?
