LEDs are not coherant

edit

The article states: "Each image is acquired under a different angle of illumination from a coherent light source (typically from an array of LEDs)" However, individual LEDs do not emit coherent light, and an array of them is certainly not going to be coherent. The flaw in the statement is not in the references to LED arrays, as in fact LED arrays are/can be used in the practice of fourier ptychography, but in the assertion that the light is or should be coherent. For reference, here is a presentation regarding application of fourier ptychography: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7AT8nz44yU I believe Prof Laura Waller and her team are the pioneers in fourier ptychography. There are several presentations by her on YT of various qualities; if I picked one of particularly poor quality (or which doesn't properly demonstrate her use of an LED array), a search will turn up others. 72.182.51.48 (talk) 05:09, 10 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
