editI rated this a B. It needs sources and some development to be upgrated, but this is definately a good start and with some more detail and sources, can easily be made a GA article. ludahai 魯大海 10:29, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

editPlease leave the description of Chateaubriand as it now stands ("C. was a French writer, politician and diplomat of Breton origin"). Chateaubriand was born in Brittany and his background influenced his writing. However, he wrote in French, not Breton; as a politician, he was French (not Breton) foreign minister; and as a diplomat, he was an ambassador representing France (not Brittany). All Bretons (certainly of C.'s time) were also French anyway. The Encyclopaedia Britannica calls him a French writer and politician as do all the other sources I have seen. --Folantin 14:55, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Mémoires d'Outre-Tombe does not cite any references or sources since September 2009, so sources are needed.Xx236 (talk) 09:57, 3 September 2015 (UTC) The article doesn't say anything about nowadays, so such section is needed or the comment should be removed from the lead.Xx236 (talk) 10:01, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
