This is an extremely weak biographical article and the "Travels" section confuses François André Michaux with his father André Michaux in most of the details. And there is very little information on the significance of F. A. Michaux's scientific work on trees.
François André Michaux travels on his own in North America, largely in the southeast in the very early 19th c., ca. 1802-1803. His explorations were documented in Voyage à L’ouest des Monts Alleghanys. De L’Imprimerie de Crapelet, Paris, 1804; and Travels To The Westward Of The Allegany Mountains, In The States Of The Ohio, Kentucky, And Tennessee… Translated from the original French by B. Lambert, For J. Mawman, Printed by W. Flint, London, 1805. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.15.139.37 (talk) 21:36, 20 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
