editLa France n'a jamais reçu les épreuves olympiques de voile en 1900. Vous attribuez des médailles d'or, d'argent et de bronze à des compétiteurs des régates données pour l'Exposition Universelle et ils ont reçu des prix tout à fait différents.
Tant qu'il n'y aura pas de comité scientifique à la tête de Wikipedia, n'importe qui pourra donner de fausses informations en toute impunité.
- We follow the IOC convention of awarding medals retroactively. See the IOC database, which lists top-three finishers in 1900 as having won gold, silver, and bronze medals. If you'd like to add information on the actual prize given, do feel free. La rétroactivité n'est pas un principe utilisé ni en Droit ni en Histoire. Laissons l'IOC s'occuper des manifestations qu'elle organise et laissez les historiens lire les documents d'époque pour en juger, à savoir :
- Aucune médaille donnée, mais des objets d'art (coupes, plats etc...)
- Organisation faite par le Cercle de la Voile de Paris, financée par le Comité de l'Exposition Universelle.
- Les noms donnés sont ceux des propriétaires des bateaux et pas forcément ceux des équipages.
L'IOC en refaisant bêtement l'histoire fait preuve d'hagiographie pour les naïfs. Ne tombez pas dans le piège !

About Michel Theato medal
editThe article says " Michel Théato was Luxembourgish but living in Paris; his win in the marathon was initially credited to France by the International Olympic Committee, however currently International Olympic Committee attributes his medal to Luxembourg."
Well, its not what IOC says, the medal is still for France.Olympic Games Paris 1900 Athletics marathon men Results.
I think we have a problem here, Wikipedia is not a primary source. This must be changed in all medals table. MachoCarioca (talk) 16:36, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
