Wine auction

edit

Not worthy of comment in the article, but a researcher might wish to know of the auction, by Messrs. Christie, Manson & Woods, on 26 June 1872, “of Three Cellars of Old Wines, Including Three Hundred and Fifty Dozens, The Property of Sir Francis Graham Moon, Bart., Deceased, Comprising Twenty Dozens of Fine Sherry, Eight Dozens of Port, Vintage 1847, One Hundred and Fifty Dozens, Vintage 1863, some Claret, Château Lafite, 1858, and a small quantitiy of Champagne”.
