editIsn't Francis a man's name, and Frances a woman's?
Is F. Upritchard male or female? Or is there an intended ambiguity?
Sebastjan
- Upritchard is female and her name is spelt "Francis". That's just what her parents called her as far as I'm aware. --Camembert
- When she was at art school, friends, family and classmates called her Jemma. I'm pretty sure she changed her name. She probably realised Francis was the men's spelling. She may be a mediocre artist but she's not stupid. 121.98.80.117 (talk) 11:53, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
