Help wanted
editI am just now writing, creating the page, and looking for all the Wiki codes. Fellow falconers of more than a decade are welcome to contribute. Novices, please help with Wiki formatting only. You're still apprentices, leave the details to Masters, please. Thank you! --JT (talk) 12:16, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Please, Wiki Experts, help out with the codes and formats? I'm a writer, and a falconer, and a coder, but not all three at the same time. :) JT (talk) 13:43, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Bibliography is decidedly partial, as Frank had illustrations and was involved in the penning of many wildlife books over the years. We'll fill it in as we're able. JT (talk) 13:57, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
LOOK, pay attention, you Wiki-Nazis. If you want to HELP, pitch in and do so. If you want to be snitty and self-important, bugger off. This may be everyone's playground, scribble-box, but this is OUR sport, and Frank's accomplishments tower over what most men do in three lifetimes. Yes, you could call it a bias... or just recognize that it's actually objective fact. If you want to rephrase something for objectivity, feel free, but don't change the actual content... and meanwhile, for F's sake, stop jumping on me/us like a bunch of bullies. SOME of us are here for truth and knowledge, rather than your jackboot formatting. --JT (talk) 14:31, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
- Please calm down. Nobody jumped on you...and you asked for help with formatting. --Onorem♠Dil 14:36, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for the assistance in formatting. I'll try to use those syntax examples for other additions. Really, though, you Wiki folk need to get it through your heads that when you're talking about soemthing with 2000 active members across the nation, we ARE the authoritative source, and there won't be much published on something as trivial, for example, as the Kelloggs' spearheading getting Frank reinstated to NAFA. That sort of thing just isn't recorded... and yet if the stories are not chronicled, the truth and realities are lost... which is why I've included them here. How do I know about Brian and Cliff's involvements? I was there. I was at the board meetings. I spoke with Brian, who is on the Leadership for the Falconry Alliance, a group I founded, on the evening that this was accomplished. Did you really expect it to be published in a book somewhere? Article Stubbed
editHello all. While I appreciate that the article was a memorial to Frank, there was an OTRS complaint about a related article, and this article had much the same issues. It must be written to a Neutral Point of View, and it must have Reliable, Third-party sources backing its info. I understand that in a smaller field of interest like falconry, there may not be that many third party sources available, but that is the standard to which Wikipedia requires. editHere's a potential source article from Maclean's magazine, back in 1961. MeegsC (talk) 13:29, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
