editThis stub lacks attribution for the last sentence, which is by no means self-evident, and reads like fan mail. It should be removed or cited. There is a dearth of biographical information such as family, upbringing, and education, and the assertion that Kofsky was a musician is unsupported. I knew him as a rigid Trotskyist critic for the Los Angeles Free Press in the 60s, and his writings of that era are in my opinion uneducated about music, other than as a vehicle for political polemics.
