editRe Disambiguation pages with links project: Can I suggest making Frank Miller redirect to Frank Miller (comics)? I've scanned the entire "What links here" list for links that suggest anyone other than the writer and artist of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns and Sin City. I only found one, and I fixed it. Most don't even warrant checking because they are pages like History of Batman and 2006 in comics. Frank Miller (politician) has a substantial article but he was only "briefly Premier of Ontario in 1985", and, again, nobody's linking to him. The other two Frank Miller articles are brief stubs. --The Famous Movie Director 11:32, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
I agree with The Famous Movie Director. I just did exactly what he did in case he missed anything and I checked every article with a name that didn't imply it was about comics and it turned out they all referenced the same Frank Miller --Mr. Snow 07:58, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
Likewise, I have checked and it's all about Frank Miller the comic book author. But how would we account for the others if we make this a redirect? Put all the other entries in a header? Doesn't seem right to me. Any suggestions? --Estarriol talk 11:26, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
- Not sure why this should be a redirect. You can also make a Frank Miller (disambiguation) entry, but it doesn't look like even that is necessary right now. --Chris Griswold 15:56, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
- Well, the argument is that almost every current reference in Wikipedia of Frank Miller is to the comic book guy, and there are a large number (currently about 212) links that are simply Frank Miller in articles that come to this disambiguation page, and this is seen as undesirable. Please see Disambiguation pages with links if you're not already familiar with it. Having considered it, I now support creating Frank Miller (disambiguation) with the content of this page, and redirecting the plain Frank Miller page to Frank Miller (comics) --Estarriol talk 16:54, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
- Now that we know that everything that links to the disambiguation page is referring to comics (good job Mr. Snow), a redirect would sure save a lot of work. A user called Natalya on the Disambiguation pages with links talk page says that the comics Frank Miller doesn't seem much more noteworthy than the politician. But I doubt this is true; we're talking about a dead man who was briefly a premier in 1985 versus one of the most important people in the entertainment industry right now. Secondly, Wikipedians are a worldwide network of nerds, with an intense interest in topics like comics (for a nice illustration, compare the Gorilla Grodd article to the one on, say, Leopold Bloom). The people who write intensely detailed articles about comics are going to keep linking to the disambiguation page forever. We could solve that entire problem with one redirect (and, of course, a header on the Frank Miller (comics) page, directing people who are looking for other Frank Millers elsewhere). --The Famous Movie Director 05:02, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Internet Movie Database
editIMDb shows 13 different Frank Millers, in addition to Frank M. Miller, Frank B. Miller, and variants (Frankie & Franklin). -- Robocoder 02:11, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

editFranklin Miller is mentioned repeatedly in R. Clarke's Against All Enemies. How high does one have to be in the White House to be notable? Ojcit 04:26, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
